I am very much impressed with
this hotel. The price was exceptional for the room we had.
The front desk was really helpful and let us check into our
room early and check out late! The room itself was fantastic.
It was very clean, roomy, and updated. We also were very lucky
as our room had a good view. It was really a good deal. We
definitely plan on returning.

We stayed at this hotel because
they have suites avaliable and we needed to accomodate 2
familes. They only had a king bed with sleeper sofa available
during the time that we stayed but there was more than enough
room for everyone.
Pluses: Large kitchen with breakfast nook, high vaulted
ceiling in bedroom area makes the space feel larger, fireplace,
large outdoor patio with table (ground floor only, 2nd floor
has small deck), sleeper sofa, two tvs, dvd player (you
can request dvds at front desk), complimentary continental
breakfast (juice, coffee, muffins, pancakes), located in
a quiet tree-lined neighborhood, close to beach and aquarium,
2-day tickets to aquarium for the price of one day, garage
right downstairs from your unit so you can pull right up!
Minuses: the shower runs hot and cold so difficult to get
a comfortable temperature, in the evenings the garage spaces
fill up so you might have to park on the street.
We would definitely stay here again. The place was really
clean and the manager on duty is very helpful.

This place was great. It was a
little hard to find when we first arrived. The suites were
very nice and clean. We had a 2 room suite 1 king bed and
1 queen. It had a small kitchen area w/ microwave , sink
and small fridge. Layout of rooms was a little strange, queen
bed room had a flat screen tv, go figure.Offered free parking
in open space or in garage. Hotel personnel was very helpful
and nice. The best part was the continental breakfast! They
had a great assortment to choose from like pancakes, waffles(frozen)
bagles,cereal, fruits and juices etc...
My 3 children loved it! I would definitely stay again. The
price was was one of the best we found last minute (2 days
before) on a holiday weekend .It was a quick drive into
town and like 5 mins. away from the Monterey Bay Aquarium
& Cannery Row.

This
is the best hotel I've ever stayed at as far as its price
and service. It's very clean and comfortable and just right
for my family. The room is very comfortable with a mini refrigerator,
microwave, and cabinets. The beds are not worn out and the
bathrooms are very nice. The breakfast is very good too.And
of course. |

Townhouse-like home away from
home: Howard Johnson in Pacific Grove is a hidden treasure
and good value. We were very impressed with the room we
got. It's a beautiful wooded residential area, just a
short drive from Monterey's Cannery Row. The property
appears to be a renovated set of townhouses. Each townhouse
section had three levels, with a room each. The first
and second floor rooms appear similar, but the third floor
room had a bedroom (with bed, TV, desk, table), balcony
(was a little unusable due to large amount of tree sap
or bird droppings), large walk-in closet with rollaway
cot and small fridge and microwave, two sink bathroom,
separate small room for toilet, and refurbished bathtub
in separate section of bathroom area with a showerhead.
It wasn't a full service hotel, but it was nice because
it felt more like a ski lodge rental - a temporary home.
We would love to come back.

Stayed 3 days at this hotel to
celebrate my birthday and was so surprised when I arrived!
I wasn't sure what to expect with such low prices compared
to the surrounding area. These rooms are condos with fully
stocked kitchen, wet bar, fireplace in bedroom, 2 balconies/patios,
sitting/living room area. It was so quiet in the trees
and only a block from Asilomar State Beach, which was
beautiful to walk thru to get to the beach. Continental
breakfast every morning, computer in lounge area. Very,
very clean rooms. And parking in actual garages (without
doors)! I will definitely be back and will recommend this
hotel to my friends and family!

We stayed (2 adults, 1 toddler)
for 3 days in a king bed with kitchen suite. Close to
Monterey Aquarium, ideally located, residential neighborhood,
quite, trail passes next to the hotel. Good value for
the money(decent breakfast includes cereal, coffee, danish,
bread etc..) for families with kids, who wants to cook
a few meals. Surprised to see DSL connection at the breakfast
room.

Excellent location, and outstanding accommodations for the
price. While a little hard to find, its location in wooded
Pacific Grove near Carmel and Monterey was perfect for relaxing.
Well-designed facilities, great service, beautiful surroundings
(deer!). We'll come back!

Great garage parking. Close
to Laguna Seca. Only a few miles to Cannery Row. Being off
the beaten track, I felt that my motor cycle was secure
and safe. I will stay here next year!

Very nice hotel, hidden away in pine trees. My only complaint
is that you can hear sounds through the walls. We heard
an alarm clock going off in an unoccupied room. All in all,
a very nice hotel. My husband and I would be glad to stay
again!

Rooms are very clean and lots of room, excellent maid service,
close to beach and downtown Monterey, PG and Pebble Beach.
Walls too thin, could hear infants crying in other rooms.
